DAY 365!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Little Russian Snowmen:

It's my very last picture....I wanted to take pictures of balloons or something that represented a celebration, a feeling of accomplishment....but just like the rest of this challenge, I got lazy and worked with what I had.  But still these Russian Dolls are special to me.  Every time I go home for Christmas my mother lets me take some Christmas decorations!

This challenge has had it's ups and downs, easy days and hard days.  It was such a great way for me to be able to go back and look at this year of my life through pictures.  I got to spend a summer in Washington D.C., 2 weeks in Hawaii, road trip across the country, do random things in Texas, spend Spring Break in Florida, and enjoy family time with people I love.  Because of this challenge I am truly starting to understand the saying "a picture is worth a thousand words".

At the beginning I thought that this would be a breeze, that I would find enough things in my life to take pictures of; and to be honest, if I did look around enough I could find things, but more often than not I thought of this task as a chore rather than an adventure.  I know overall that I have learned a lot about myself, that I have to see something through, not give up until it is done...even if that means I skip a few days.  This definitely opened my eyes to look for the beauty that is around me everyday, causing me to find new (sometimes actually very old) street signs, beautiful color variances, and odd angles.  I wanted to get better at taking pictures of people, but that didn't happen because I was too embarrassed to ask others for their help.  Something that I have heard several people say in the past, and now I know to be true, is that you really have to take hundreds of pictures to find just one that you actually really like.  In this years worth of pictures, I have definitely found a few that are my favorites and others that I hate, but that is all how photography works.

Now the question is...what to do with all these photos?  Put them all into a book?  Possibly frame some of them?

Until my next random reason for doing a blog...Happy Life!

(whoooo I feel relieved)
